Founder Readiness elevated to a dedicated workstream

HILMY

What came up
Founder readiness was originally a subsection of positioning. It was elevated because the move from an institutional pipeline to self generated demand is the transition with the most riding on it.
My take
Institutional credibility and inbound work do not automatically transfer to founder led business development. Self employment asks the founder to own demand generation, qualification, asking for the work, follow up, hearing no, pricing, negotiation, boundaries and collection. These are capabilities and preferences to assess with Stephanie rather than assumptions to make about her.
Decision
Working recommendation: Founder Readiness becomes workstream 02, addressed before positioning is finalized, because what Second Story sells should reflect what Stephanie wants to own.
Your next step
Answer the founder readiness prompts in writing, including the uncomfortable ones.
My next step
Use the written responses as primary source material for positioning options.
Created
Founder readiness prompt set
Updated
Founder Readiness given its own workstream page and prompt set.

Consulting schedule structured

HILMY

What came up
The scope needed a working structure that could hold three months of sessions without collapsing into a task list.
My take
Sequencing matters more than coverage. Positioning is hard to settle before the founder question is answered, and commercial questions such as invoicing and terms sit alongside the company setup decisions.
Decision
Seven workstreams carry the engagement: Company Foundation, Founder Readiness, Positioning, Services, Commercial, Brand, and Market plus Pipeline.
My next step
Build the workspace so each session updates a shared record rather than a deck.
Created
Workstream architecture and three month arc
Updated
Workstream pages and the six module arc added to the workspace.

Initial Second Story proposal and consulting scope

Stephanie Phillips / HILMY

What came up
Stephanie is leaving an institutional role where credibility, budget, and inbound work were supplied by the City. The question was what a consulting engagement should actually cover to get a company standing on its own.
My take
The request arrived as a branding and website question. The initial scope raised upstream questions about company setup, service definition, pricing, proposal process and owned pipeline that need to be confirmed rather than assumed. What is known is that Stephanie asked for help working through these areas.
Decision
Working recommendation: scope the engagement as a company build rather than a marketing project, with identity informed by positioning as both develop.
Your next step
Review and confirm the proposed consulting scope.
My next step
Structure the engagement around workstreams instead of deliverables.
